With no notice. At 7 o'clock.
I was really on board (ha!) with that. I really need about...half a day to mull over the possibility of potentially sailing. Just finding out about it when he got home wasn't quite notice enough. Instead, we got water ice, and walked around the city- so fun!
Anyway, we postponed the sailing trip until the next morning, giving me plenty of time to adjust.
Eve, however, was not the most agreeable little sailor, at the beginning at least. Here she is, in the boat, about to get her lifejacket on,...not too happy!
Minutes later, after a bottle, the smiles came out!
This jacket is waaayy too big- probably why she's not usually that happy with sailing!
Finally, a more resigned face:
The best thing about sailing: sitting on the dock and eating the lifejacket!
After a bit of sailing/floating-and-roasting-because-there-was-no-wind, Eve and I headed for the car (and the a/c) while Ezra packed up the boat.
Look how much happier she is!
Getting really happy pretending to drink from a water glass Ezra brought into the car that morning!
So, after her second sailing trip, one thing seems clear: Eve would be more agreeable,...if her lifejacket fit her properly!
