Princess Room

Since we had to leave the bunk-beds in the city (well, in the city trash) after they wouldn't come apart for the move, we've had a bit of...craziness around here for bedtime.  We had originally planned to keep the bunk beds for the boys room, and Eve would get her old crib bc it turned into a day bed.

Now, though, we put Eve's crib and the mini-crib in the boys room, along w/the old dresser bc it all matched.  Which then meant that Eve had nothing.  So, Ezra found a cute dresser at an antique store- it's brown w/white handles now, but I think I may paint it, or at the very least, change out the hardware for something cuter.

Also, we found this really pretty bed at Pottery Barn Kids- but, in true Pottery Barn fashion, it's back-ordered.  So, sometime in May, she may have a bed! ;)  And, we found this cute "princess" bedding at Target- I really liked it bc it's not so princess-y, but it's plenty pink, which she loved.  Also, the other day, we found a cute Snow White painting at an antique store, so along w/that and her cel from "The Princess and the Frog," the princess room is coming together!

Anyway though, right now, she's all curled up on her old mattress for bed, which is so weird bc it's an Ikea mattress that comes apart into three pieces!  Poor girl...pretty soon you'll have a normal room!

The iron bed is a beautiful sight to behold! I am really looking forward to getting a real bed one of these days for the kids. My kids will also be enjoying some bed craziness till we move away in a year. 3.5 year old still in her crib and 1.5 year old in a packnplay. As long as they fit in them it is working for us bc a real bed will not fit in the room.

Anthropologie has some amazing drawer hardware if you are looking for something different.
