On Saturday, Ezra and I went to our new house for the current owner's furniture auction. We weren't really planning to buy anything- there were a few things that we liked, but it was more of a "we wanna see the house again and maybe meet the owner" kind of trip.
It was so weird, seeing the house emptied out, w/all the contents strewn around the yard, w/furniture lining the driveway, and...seeing easily 100 people moving in and around the property. (Kinda great though- it showed that we could definitely have huge parties here!)
Seeing the house empty(ish) also made things a lot more real- I mean, she's moving her stuff out bc we're moving ours in! And, in only ONE WEEK! Kinda surreal... ;)
Anyway, we got to meet the owner (and her daughter), which was nice bc we actually got a much better impression of her in person than we had dealing w/her through the agents. And, we got to meet our new next door neighbors, who seemed great- they have three teenage daughters who babysit a lot of the neighborhood kids. Good to know! ;) We also found out that there are families w/teeny kids all around us.
(Oh, these pictures make it seem like there weren't too many people- that's bc it was drizzling. Most of the people were in the house, but there still were loads in the yard w/umbrellas and ponchos.)

Did you end up buying any furniture? We should get together sometime with the kids since you'll be nearby. I don't work on Fridays :)
